We want to help those who have suffered a tragedy in their life.  Our goal is to help them in a way that surpasses monetary help.  We want them to know that God loves them and people (even strangers) care about them and what they are going through. 

March 4, 2016, our family's life was forever changed.  We received that dreaded phone call, one of our family members had been in a tragic motorcycle wreck in Austin, Texas.  Our 26 year old nephew and son, Derek, had suffered many injuries, including the loss of his left leg.  We were worried about the adjustments he would make to make in his life and even his lively hood. 

We decided to hold a 5K fundraiser for him to help him get through those transitions.  It was a great success.  Our family and the community cam together to support him during this time.  We were able to raise money needed to help him. 

Even before we had finished up the day of that first 5k fundraiser, we knew that this was something that we wanted to do for others  We wanted to show others that God will use tragedies to build us up and make us stronger.  Derek is definitely an example of that. 

We reached out to some of our family and friends and asked them to pray about joining our venture.  We were so pleased when our Board of Directors was complete so that we could begin the work we knew God had directed us to do.
